Bird & Gun
In this two-week course your dog will develop a positive association between gunfire and the excitement of retrieving birds. This training is critical in ensuring your dog is confident & comfortable around gunfire and in laying the foundation for a successful hunting dog. Before advancing to formal hunting programs, this program must be completed first to ensure your dog has no issues with the gun and has a strong desire for birds.
Your dog will gain experience and confidence handling birds and shot flyers while building the mechanics of a delivered retrieve. During warm seasons, your dog will also receive an introduction to entering water for retrievals.
Your dog will stay at our facility for the duration of training. Owners will receive updates over phone with a live demonstration on the final day.

Puppies 5-7 months old are ideal, but older dogs that lack experience or require basic instruction are also suitable candidates for this program.
